Google Analytics Introduced Annotations

One of the most popular website analytics platforms, Google Analytics, introduced the annotations feature. This feature looks usable for teams to add notes at different times, making collaboration easy. It’s also useful for presentations or for individuals who want to note when they made changes, so they can check the results later.
Annotations Might Be More Detailed Than You Think!
Google Analytics annotations have Title, Description fields, and color options. So the annotations are not just text-only notes without customization. These features might be more useful, especially when the notes increase. For example, one color could be used for paid ads, another color for outdoor campaign start-end timelines, etc.
How to Test and Use Analytics Annotations
On the Google Analytics dashboard, when reviewing a report, right-click and select "Add annotation" — this will work. To see annotations, hover over them, or for a more tidy and cumulative view, the “Annotations Viewer” panel can be activated.
